Craft Archive: Rothesay Pavilion wall piece.

Printed, dyed and hand pierced anodised aluminium and veneered plywood.

OK so I lied - not recent, from another era of my personal work. An exploration of colour, pattern and material through my favourite subject medium of mid century architecture and design. I like to focus on public buildings: the cinemas; the tube stations; the libraries. These were buildings designed for everyone to use and enjoy, and they come from a simpler time when the horizon seemed much less cluttered, and the expansions of towns was still quite clean and uniform, almost utopian.
